Delivery FAQs
Where do you deliver?
We can deliver all our products, including our frozen pet food, to residential and central business addresses throughout the country. Unfortunately, at this stage, we do not ship our products to rural addresses, however we can send them to your nearest agent for you to collect. Head over to our Delivery page for more information on where and how we deliver.
Do you offer click and collect?
You can click and collect your order form our store in Hastings - simply select 'Pick up in store' at checkout.
How do you deliver your frozen products?
We pack and courier our frozen pet food with extra thick, double-insulated cardboard cases to keep your products as best chilled as possible. If your order arrives unfrozen but still chilled - don't stress! It is still safe to refrozen as soon as it arrives. You can see more about how we pack our products on our Delivery Info page.
* Note - our bulk boxes are not sent in the double insulated boxes - they are send in a standard cardboard box and wrapped in plastic. Because it's such a large amount of frozen product they tend to take longer to defrost.
I live rural, how can I get your products delivered?
There are a number of local agents who will receive parcels on your behalf. You can view the NZ Couriers 'Nearest Location' map to find the closest agent to you. When placing your order, enter the address for the agent as the delivery address.
What days do you dispatch and deliver?
We send orders Monday to Thursday using overnight delivery. We don't send any orders on a Friday as we can't guarantee delivery to your address over the weekend.
Orders placed after 2pm Thursday through to Sunday are dispatched on Monday, to avoid the risk of parcels sitting in a courier depot over the weekend.
Can I track my order?
Yes – you’ll receive tracking details via email once your order has been shipped. If you don’t receive it, please check your spam folder or get in touch.
Product FAQs
Are your products a complete and balanced diet?
No - our products are not a complete and balanced diet on their own. Because we offer single‑protein rolls and whole‑food ingredients, balance is achieved over time through variety, rather than in each individual roll.
We recommend feeding a rotation of different proteins, organs, bones, and green tripe over the course of each week to naturally provide the full range of nutrients your dog needs. If you're unsure what to choose, our Beginner Box or Puppy/Senior Boxes are great starting points, or you can contact us for personalised guidance.
Are your ingredients human‑grade?
We use high‑quality New Zealand–sourced ingredients, and many are human‑grade, but they are processed in facilities certified for pet food, not for human consumption.
Are your products suitable for cats?
Yes – many of our customers feed our rolls to their cats. Some of the most popular options include:
- Chicken Roll
- Beef & Heart Roll
- Veal & Heart Roll
We recommend starting with these single-protein or offal-rich options and feeding a variety over time to help meet your cat’s nutritional needs. Cats can be fussy and have specific dietary requirements, so feel free to get in touch if you'd like help choosing the right products.
How should I store your rolls?
Store rolls in the freezer. Defrost in the fridge and use the following as a guideline:
- Chicken - use within 3 days of defrosting.
- Red Meats - use withing 5-6 days of defrosting.
For convenience, many customers semi-defrost their rolls (naturally!), slice into portions and freeze individually.
We also stock the Roll Mate containers which are a great way to store our rolls in the fridge.
How big are the rolls?
All of our rolls are available in 1.8kg rolls. Some are also available in smaller 600g rolls and then our popular rolls are available in Bulk Boxes as well.
My dog is fussy - what should I start first?
We suggest starting with proteins you already know your dog likes, then slowly introducing new flavours from there. Our 600g rolls are perfect for testing out new proteins without committing to a full 1.8kg roll.
Some customers find success rotating between chicken, beef, or veal-based options before branching into richer or novel proteins like venison or goat. If you're unsure where to start, we're happy to help guide you.
Can I cook the rolls before feeding?
Our rolls are intended to be fed raw to preserve their nutritional value. Cooking is not recommended, especially for products containing bone, as cooked bone can splinter and be dangerous.
Raw Feeding FAQs
I'm unsure what to feed my pet, or what products to start with, can you help?
We strongly believe that every pet is different so there shouldn't be a 'one size fits all' approach - therefore, this isn't an easy answer. Many factors play a part in determining what to feed your pet - their size, age, health/conditions, preferences, and activity level. Our best advice is to reach out to us if you're unsure and we can do our best to suggest products that we think your pet will love.
Why should I feed my pet a raw diet?
A raw diet can provide many health benefits for your pet, including better digestion, healthier skin and coat, stronger immune system, and improved energy levels. It also helps to avoid fillers, preservatives, and other additives that can be found in some commercial pet food.
Is raw pet food safe?
Yes, raw pet food is safe if handled and prepared properly. You should follow the same food safety precautions as you would with your own food, such as washing your hands and cleaning surfaces thoroughly.
How do I transition my pet to a raw diet?
It is best to introduce new foods gradually. Start by adding a small amount of raw food to your pet's current diet and gradually increase the amount over a few weeks. Monitor your pet's behavior and health during the transition. You can find out more info here.
Do I need to feed bones?
Bones are a key part of a balanced raw diet – they provide calcium and help keep teeth clean. We offer a range of safe, size-appropriate bone options. Always supervise your pet while they eat bones.
How much raw food should I feed my pet?
As a general guide, adult dogs need around 2–3% of their body weight in raw food per day. Puppies, seniors, and active dogs may need more or less. You can get some help from our helpful feeding guides or reach out to us if you're unsure.
What if my pet has allergies or sensitivities?
We offer single-protein and novel-protein options like goat and venison, which are often well tolerated by sensitive pets. Let us know your pet’s needs and we can recommend the best products.
